Although our work as action sports photographers is deeply rooted in and very similar to the genre photo journalism, our primary concern is to provide lasting memories of some of the most dramatic moments in the lives of the young athletes we photograph.

As such, it may from time to time be beneficial to enhance our images to better express the excitement of the moment. However, we have strict policies against manipulating the truth. Any digital editing we undertake will only enhance, never change, what happened.

Swift Shot has three different levels of digital images. It is always easy to tell what kind of image you are viewing by looking at the lower left corner of the image. Digital enhancements and digital composites are identified by the letters "dE" and "dC" respectively (these symbols will not appear in any prints).

Digital Photographs
The first level of images are digital photographs. These images have only been cropped and color corrected for optimum output quality in our digital studio and bear no identifying mark.

Digital Enhancements
The second level, digital enhancements (dE) are images that were slightly enhanced in the digital darkroom (these edits can include the movement of elements within the original image to achieve a more powerful cropped image).

Digital Composites
The third level are digital composites (dC), where elements of several digital photographs were combined to achieve the most dramatic re-creation of the original moment.
